Gallery Stroll occurs the third Friday of every month and allows you the opportunity to view exhibiting art all along
the Wasatch Front. Be sure to drop by the modern8 Gallery while you're strolling. Artists with a unique point of view

Guy Standing creates three-dimensional art pieces using found art. He says
that "for most of my life I have been fascinated by rusty junk. There
seems to be some sense of discovery in finding an interesting piece of
rusted metal, driftwood and bits and pieces of oxidizing nature. Time
has a way of peeling away the surface of organic materials to reveal the
essence of its composition. By overlaying natural and man-made
components in various stages of aging, in these abstract assemblages, I
find joy in discovering a story that will play it's self out over and
over. Materials are layered, so lighting changes also transforms the
image and highlights different players in the story that forms in the
imagination. I like to think my art provides the viewer with a sense if
intrigue and a desire to journey deeper."
Artist, Author, former Surgical Nurse, and 6th Degree Black Belt. Sabina
Wise has a colorful and varied background from sharing the comic stage
with RoseAnne Barr to judging a National Karate Championship alongside
Chuck Norris.
Her passion for art has encompassed such diverse areas
as fashion and medical illustration, portraits and caricatures. Sabina
began drawing people at age three and received her first portrait
commission at sixteen. Today she has over 1,600 collections in
20 countries.
