We help them with statement stuffers, brochures and ads, and we're trying to talk them into a new website. But we like them a lot, even if they don't get around to the website. ![]() modern8 is once again a sponsor for the Association for Corporate Growth, the premier association for and about professionals involved in middle-market corporate growth. We created an ad campaign featuring an illustration by Bryan Wilson. The illustration has already ready won corporate admirers who have requested copies to hang in their offices. David Forsythe, a senior in Graphic Design at the University of Utah has joined modern8 for an internship. He helps with design and production and with his degree in English, writing as well. / Justin Milo, modern8 designer and programmer has returned to school at The Cooper Union in New York following Christmas break. ![]() A famous study of a patient with right brain damage, revealed a man who mistook his wife for a hat and who could not recognize a glove. When shown a glove and asked, "What is this?" the individual described it as "a continuous surface, ...infolded on itself. It appears to have five outpunchings, if that is the word... A container of some sort." Despite reasoning abilities, the man could not perceive the object or its function. Damage to the right hemisphere can impair brain functions that relate to intuitive, artistic and design abilities. While the left side controls speech and verbal reasoning associated with logical thought, the right side recognizes faces and objects. More... Contractors in Utah will soon be putting down their hammers and picking up their laptops to conform to new legislation for the filing of construction-related legal notices. The good news is that what was once a laborious, paper-based process that required the use of certified mail has become much easier. Utah Interactive, the company behind utah.gov's online services, is developing The State Construction Registry: a web-enabled application that offers everyone in Utah's construction industry compliance, protection and detailed project knowledge. Utah Interactive consulted with us in the development of the name, tagline and logo and design of the website and informational flyers. The communication and marketing campaign continues until May 1, when the law becomes effective.
