New York-based CRS Retail Systems, a maker of retail software, debuted a new
website in conjunction with its acquisition of Salt Lake-based Found Inc.
The website was designed by modern8, who operated under a strict
non-disclosure agreement until the site went live.
The website was designed and programmed on a fast-track eight-week schedule
by modifying existing code from the Found site. The design introduced a new
layout, color palette, and photos as well as new content resulting from the
merger of the two companies. A branding overhaul for CRS is also in the
planning stages.
The website was created to strategically define CRS as a provider of retail
software solutions that incorporate the latest technologies. The look and
feel of the former CRS website was not congruent with a new branding
strategy developed with the addition of the Found technology. The website is
located at: www.crs-retail.com

A 100-page website for KEPCO+, a contractor of architectural cladding systems, was
completed this month by modern8. The HTML-based site details the capabilities of
the panelized stone contractor with substantial project case studies, including the
Nauvoo, Illinois LDS Temple and the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. The site
features Flash and JavaScript animations and an XML content management tool,
allowing KEPCO to update news items at will. QuickTime 360-degree photos of the
KEPCO facility are viewable online. Randall Smith and Maralee Lassiter designed the
project with many late hours of programming and implementation by Justin Milo. View

this week / Reverse angle parking, a new back-in style of street parking, was
implemented in front of our office this month. Weird, but apparently safer for
users of the bicycle lane that was also installed. Parking is still free and
convenient, though. Happy Halloween!
