When small retail stores need maintenance or handyman services, it can be difficult to
locate the best contractor, and manage the repairs while still running the store. Multiply
that by thousands of retail locations from coast-to-coast and you have a problem of major
proportions. Solving that problem is how Action Facilities Management acquired the T-Mobile
account with 700 different retail locations. We helped Action identify their brand position
using the 5d Perception Branding process and then designed their identity and applied it
to stationery and business cards.

Hanley Wood, a major publisher of construction-related magazines,
featured the article, “Constructing Your Brand” by Randall
Smith, modern8 Creative Director, in the October 2006 issue of Concrete Construction.
Developing brands for the architectural, engineering and construction
industries is like the construction process itself. Careful planning
and a step-by-step process are needed to lay the foundation to build
a company and its brand. Competition in commercial construction has
focused attention on branding strategies in order to gain a strategic
competitive advantage. But branding is much more than an attractive
logo or catchy phrase. More…

The October issue of the Yescozette from Young Electric Sign Company,
not only includes interesting color factoids, but also explains the
intricacies of how we perceive color in different signage mediums,
from historic neon—colored by gases, to modern LED displays—based on
the RGB technology found in computer monitors. The oversized 10 x 14
publication features the newest and most colorful signs from across
the western U.S. We create and direct the design, writing, photography
and printing of the publication and have done so since 1997.
