![]() We have completed the website for ColdSweep Dry Ice Blasting. The company provides industrial cleaning solutions at food processing, printing and refinery locations all across the nation. Working together with an independent marketing consultant we designed the website to capture leads. Each page directs you through the site in a preferred sequence that concludes with a form to request a quote. Leads generated from the website are automatically synched up with desktop contact management software. The reason PowerPoint is often criticized, might be because the popular
presentation tool has caught us at a cultural crossroads between our
traditional ideas of Western "oratory" and a new global "media age" that has
embraced non-traditional ways of communicating. As the two worldviews clash,
PowerPoint is often stuck in the middle. So says Cliff Atkinson, a
communications consultant and a leading authority on PowerPoint, in his blog
Beyond Bullets. The blog
is full of new ways to use PowerPoint and other media to help you relate
better to other people.

![]() Most people can recall a situation where the wrong decision was made because of too many decision-makers. And yet choices that affect your brand are important enough that everyone, from the board down, may want to voice an opinion. Experts in the social sciences believe that decisions made by large groups tend to be more conservative and less inspired than those made by small groups. Yet organizational development experts tell you that decisions by consensus result in higher-quality decisions, because the company uses the resources of many. As Alina Wheeler, a strategic branding consultant says, "The path to reconciling these seemingly conflicting points of view leads to a brand champion with strong leadership skills, someone who can elicit ideas and options from a wider group without succumbing to group-think." Ideally, the final decision-makers, regardless of the organization's size, are kept to a very small group.
Northface University attracts students who are truly serious about software
development. The Salt Lake based school, with support from Microsoft, Oracle and
IBM lays claim to establishing the finest University in the world for software
developers. Northface needed a brochure that positioned them as an alternative
to a traditional liberal arts education and yet distinguished them from small
trade schools. modern8 used an annual report-like design approach, incorporating
portraits of actual students, captioned with their name, home town and hobbies.
The personalized approach allows prospective students to see themselves in place
of the actual students. The alternatively sized 7 x 11 brochure included a
pocket in the rear to hold a current class schedule.
